Managing Check Boxes in your Document

Managing Check Boxes in your Document

Check Boxes:
Checkboxes allow users to select one or more options from a set of predefined choices. They are ideal for situations where multiple selections are possible, giving users the flexibility to choose as many options as needed.

Inserting a Check Box

To insert a radio button, click the Check Box option from the Master Elements section in the side menu.
A Check Box will be inserted into your document.

Configuring Check Box Setting
Click on the inserted radio button to access the Check Box Settings, where you can manage the following options:

Group Name: Since multiple check boxes may be added, assigning a group name ensures they function as a individual options. For example, a "Contact Method" group could include options like Phone, SMS, etc. Naming the group is crucial for proper functionality.
NotesNote: If you rename the group name after adding check boxes to it, the associated field name will be removed from the original group and assigned to a new group with the updated name. If the group name is reverted to the previous one, the field name will be restored to the original group along with its existing check boxes.

Here’s the grammatically corrected version of your text:

Field Name: This is the identifier for each individual checkbox. The field name can be customized but will not appear in the design preview. This field name will be under the group name and will serve as the identifier for a specific checkbox within that group. From the set of inserted checkboxes, we can set the primary checkbox to appear under the group name by clicking on the option next to it. Every newly added checkbox in the document will automatically be visible under the group name.

Editing Check Box Name: Users can edit the check box name by clicking on the text box next to the check box. Additionally, they can apply text formatting such as bolditalic, or other styles using the text styling bar at the top of the page.

Editing Check Box Style: When you click on an inserted checkbox, styling options will appear in the top menu. From there, you can customize the background color, checkbox border, and even change the color of the checkmark (dot, tick, or X).

Checked Toggle: Enables the user to decide whether the check box should appear as checked or unchecked by default in the document preview.

Dynamic Check Box: By enabling this option, users can assign dynamic values during the document preview, enhancing flexibility.

Read Only: Enabling this option makes the check box static, preventing any interaction in the preview. The button will retain its pre-set value.

Add More Check Boxes: This option allows users to add additional boxes under the same group. Each new button will be automatically assigned a default field name and mapped to the existing group.
