Managing Radio Buttons in your Document

Managing Radio Buttons in your Document

Radio buttons are used to allow users to select only one option from a set of mutually exclusive choices. Here's how you can add and configure them in your document:

Inserting a Radio Button

To insert a radio button, click the Radio Button option from the Master Elements section in the side menu.
A radio button will be inserted into your document.

Configuring Radio Button Settings
Click on the inserted radio button to access the Radio Button Settings, where you can manage the following options:

Group Name: Since multiple radio buttons may be added, assigning a group name ensures they function as a single-choice selection. For example, a "Gender" group could include options like Male, Female, etc. Naming the group is crucial for proper functionality.
NotesNote: If you rename the group name after adding radio buttons to it, the associated field name will be removed from the original group and assigned to a new group with the updated name. If the group name is reverted to the previous one, the field name will be restored to the original group along with its existing radio buttons.

Field Name: This is the identifier for each individual radio button. The field name can be customized but will not appear in the design preview.

Editing Radio Button Name: Users can edit the radio button name by clicking on the text box next to the radio button. Additionally, they can apply text formatting such as bold, italic, or other styles using the text styling bar at the top of the page.

Checked Toggle: Enables the user to decide whether the radio button should appear as checked or unchecked by default in the document preview.

Dynamic Radio Button: By enabling this option, users can assign dynamic values during the document preview, enhancing flexibility.

Read Only: Enabling this option makes the radio button static, preventing any interaction in the preview. The button will retain its pre-set value.

Add More Radio Buttons: This option allows users to add additional radio buttons under the same group. Each new button will be automatically assigned a default field name and mapped to the existing group.

Select CheckBox: Enabling this option will display the selected radio button under the Group Name, making it the default radio button for that group.
