Understanding the Job Monitoring Dashboard: What is Printing Engine?

Once the jobs are approved and sent for printing from the Printing Dashboard by clicking the Send for Printing button, they are queued in the Printing Engine, which displays the number of jobs awaiting printing in the current batch. Printing is triggered through an external API call, where the jobs are routed to a third-party or external print server. After the printing process is completed, the external server sends a status response back to Perfect Doc Studio, updating the system to reflect whether each document has been successfully printed.

Clicking on the Printing Engine opens a modal that displays the list of jobs currently queued for printing.

Similar to other modals, users can access the Payload and generate a preview of their PDF by clicking the View button under the respective fields.

If the user has excluded any documents from printing, those will be displayed here. In this batch, no documents are shown since none have been excluded from printing:

Once the jobs are triggered for printing through an API call or a third-party printer, all jobs are moved out of the Printing Queue, leaving the queue empty as shown below:

Overall, the Printing Engine acts as a dashboard to receive all approved jobs and display their status before they are triggered for printing. Here, users can monitor which jobs are queued for printing and preview them as needed.
