How to Send a Document for Testing and Request Approval
Sending a Document for Testing
A document can be moved to the Testing environment directly from its Draft version. Once you begin designing a document, the Send for Testing button becomes available in the top-right corner of the editor.
How to Send a Document to Testing
1. Click Send for Testing
2. The system immediately moves the current design to the Testing environment.
3. You are then automatically redirected to the Versions section, where the Testing version is displayed.
Understanding the Testing Environment
This is how the Testing stage appears:
1. The Date and Time of when the document was sent for testing is shown clearly, helping you track version progress.
2. You can view different parts of the document such as Document Settings, Business Logic, and Accessible Design.
These sections are accessible for reference only. Editing is not allowed in the Testing environment.
3. You can Preview the document output.
4. You can also Download the document and perform a Sample Bulk Generation to validate how the design behaves with multiple data sets.
Requesting a Document for Approval
After completing all necessary testing, the designer must request approval so the document can be reviewed and promoted to production. This step ensures that only verified and authorized designs are published.
How to Request Approval
In the Testing environment, you will see a Request for Approval button at the top-right corner of the screen.
1. Click Request for Approval.
2. The system updates the document’s status, and your screen will now display a message indicating that the design is Waiting for Approval from the Publisher.
Publisher’s View
If you are assigned the Publisher role, your interface will include two action buttons:
Approve
Reject
Approval
When the Publisher approves the design, the document is immediately promoted to the Published (Production) environment.
Rejection
If the Publisher rejects the design, they can add comments explaining the required changes before the document can be resubmitted for approval
