Document Search: Advanced Category-Based Search

In Perfect Doc Studio, the Document Listing page provides multiple categories and filters to help users quickly locate the documents they need. By default, the Home view displays the complete list of available documents. A dedicated navigation panel on the left-hand side presents various filter options, allowing users to refine the document list based on specific criteria and streamline their search experience.

In the "search by name" - we can directly input the document name and search for our required document.

In Perfect Doc Studio, documents can be searched and filtered using four primary categories: Categories, Folders, Teams, and Languages. These filtering options help users quickly locate specific documents without manually browsing through the entire list.

When you select any filter from the left panel, the document list on the right automatically refreshes to display only the documents that match the selected criteria.

Categories:
When you click on Categories, all available categories appear at the bottom section of the left-hand menu. Selecting a specific category filters the document list and displays only the documents associated with that category on the right side, as shown below:

Folders:
When you click on Folders, all available folders appear at the bottom section of the left-hand menu. Selecting a specific folder filters the document list and displays only the documents within that folder on the right side, as shown below:

Teams:
When you click on Teams, all available teams appear at the bottom section of the left-hand menu. Selecting a specific team filters the document list and displays only the documents created under that team on the right side, as shown below:

Languages:
In Perfect Doc Studio, a document design can be created in multiple languages, making language-based filtering essential for efficient document management. When you click on Languages, all available languages appear at the bottom section of the left-hand menu. Selecting a specific language filters the document list and displays only the documents designed in that language on the right side, as shown below:

In addition to the main filters, Perfect Doc Studio also provides two status-based filters that help streamline the approval workflow:

Waiting For Approval:
When a document design is submitted and pending the Publisher’s approval, it appears under this filter. This allows Approvers to quickly identify designs awaiting review and take the necessary action to move them forward toward Production.
Needs Changes:
If an Approver rejects a document design and provides feedback or comments, the design will appear under this filter. Designers can use this view to easily track documents that require updates before they can be resubmitted for approval.

Search Using Tags:
Users can also locate documents by searching with Tags assigned during document creation. Tags can be configured within the Document Settings section and act as quick identifiers, helping users filter and retrieve relevant documents faster without relying only on folders or categories.
